He qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 1975 with the prize in Osteopathic diagnosis and has been in private practice ever since. His private practice developed into a large multi-disciplinary clinic employing over fifteen practitioners at five different sites and recently he passed this on to his assistant in preparation to settle in Australia.

Teaching has been a frequent part of his practice life from osteopathic technique and applied technique teaching at The British School of Osteopathy for over ten years to heading a degree programme in Osteopathy in Dublin for over nine years.
In 1992 he founded Osteopathy Masterclass and has been helping established Osteopaths with diagnosis and technique problems on an individual basis ever since. One year in Victoria working at Brighton Spinal and Sports Medicine 1985 was followed on by regular six month practice swaps which prompted his decision to settle here. His post graduate training has been in ergonomics and he frequently advises individuals and companies on ways to cut down occupational strains with advice on furniture and work practices.

“Being Welsh and the son of a rugby player from the Swansea “all whites” team of the 1920’s, rugby has been an ever present interest in my life. Playing at school and representative rugby up till the age of twenty I then stopped playing until my mid thirties when, after coaching my youngest son, I returned to playing at Beccles in Suffolk where I soon discovered that I was a much better referee than player. In this second spting career I enjoyed fifteen years refereeing all over the Eastern counties of England, Ireland and Denmark and had a great season in Victoria. I’ve finally given it away the but still will watch and hope to see Wales win the World cup in New Zealand in 2012.”

"Don't panic, I'm an Osteopath. I'll have you standing upright in no time at all!"

“Golf has been a challenge since age 14 and my handicap has hovered around ten ever since. Both my knowledge of golf and spinal mechanics has enabled me to help many golfers over the years to make the most of their abilities and develop a non-traumatic repeatable swing. Often guilty of organising and taking part in mad adventures I have learned that long distance sailing on a vintage leaky “tall ship” across the Bay of Biscay is not my talent.”boat

“Tennis is the new game – watch this space – while outside sport I have a passion for wood making and mending but get most pleasure from woodcarving. Unfortunately limited artistic ability means the finished article gives much less pleasure than I’d like but the getting there is most of the fun..figure
